We wanted to create a brand name and logo that depicted or embodied passion to succeed through infinite work ethic; not listening to what others say you cannot do, but, rather, from what you know you can do. Those others (“They”) do not know you. They said Michael Jordan would never make it. They said Tom Brady would never make it. Well, through continuous hard work, belief in themselves and not listening to “they,” both made it big. So, don’t do they – Do You (DUYU).
The DUYU spirit applies not only to athletes, but to all people in all walks of life worldwide, in many professions, from sports to business. The logo, also called the “Radial,” was derived from the Archimedean spirals representing three bent human legs designed with polar coordinates for rotational (radial) symmetry such that, once finely tuned, no matter how you turn, you’re always on top! The colors in the Radial represent blood, sweat, and tears!
The DUYU brands represents one of self-confidence. Rather than an external outlook on what others are doing or what others believe you should be doing, we empower people to believe in themselves. We empower people to not listen to the nay sayers, but rather to DUYU.
Additionally, to go above and beyond in pursuing your passions, there is often ups and downs. And what doesn’t kill you, truly makes you stronger. This is where the radial comes in to play representing the journey that goes along side our motto of DUYU, not them.
